Lift modernisation and door replacement for existing buildings
Lift modernisation replaces worn or outdated parts of an existing lift so it runs safely and reliably without replacing the whole installation. Fuji International Elevator modernises lifts across the UAE, including lifts from other manufacturers: replacing manual doors with automatic doors, fitting fire-rated landing doors and renewing cabins, displays and operating panels.

Frequently asked questions
Is modernisation cheaper than replacing the whole lift?
Usually, because the shaft, guide rails and much of the equipment stay in place. We survey the lift and quote only for the parts that need replacing.
Can you replace manual lift doors with automatic doors?
Yes. Replacing manual doors with automatic doors, including fire-rated stainless steel landing doors, is one of the most common upgrades we carry out on existing lifts.
Do you modernise lifts made by other companies?
Yes. We survey and modernise lifts from other manufacturers, and can then maintain them under a Fuji maintenance contract.
