Lift maintenance contract checklist for facility managers
A lift maintenance contract should say exactly how often the lift is visited, what is inspected on each visit, which parts and labour are included, how breakdown call-outs are handled and what records you receive. Do you maintain lifts you did not supply?
Yes. We maintain Fuji lifts and other makes, subject to a survey of the lift's condition and the availability of spare parts for that model.
How many preventive visits does a lift need?
It depends on the lift's age, usage and environment. We set the visit frequency after surveying the lift and state it in the contract rather than leaving it open.
What happens if a lift needs major parts?
We report the condition with the recommended work and a quotation. Where repair is no longer economical we quote modernisation, such as door, controller or fixture replacement, as a separate scope.
